Guwahati, May 8: Centenary Spartans XI drubbed Prag Rhinos by 83 runs in a flood-lit league encounter of the first GTC-LNJ Corporate Champions League T20 cricket tournament at Judges Field here last evening.

Spartans chose to bat and piled up 155 for six in the stipulated 20 overs. Hokaito Zhimomi hit an unbeaten 43 off 28 balls while Rahul Hazarika and Abhijit Singha Roy chipped in with 35 and 23 respectively. Nitin Das made 20 off 17 balls.

For Prag, Anurag Tyagi bagged two for 17 runs in three overs while Bhaskar Kalita and Mrinmoy Dutta took a wicket each.

In reply, Prag lost their way and were restricted to 72 for nine in 20 overs, thanks to Spartans bowler Kon Orang, who took five wickets for eight in four overs.

Akshay Narain and Mriganka Sharma scored 13 and 10 respectively.
