Shillong, June 20: Four Meghalaya police officers were today promoted to the rank of superintendents of police following a minor reshuffle in the police department.
Incumbent South West Garo Hills additional superintendent of police, Mary G.T. Sangma, has been promoted and appointed commandant of the 4th Meghalaya Police Battalion.
Present second-in-command of the 1st Meghalaya Police Battalion, Vivek Syiem, has been promoted and posted as the new superintendent of police (Shillong city) replacing San Mohon Roy R’Jeen.
R’Jeen will now take over as assistant inspector-general of police (establishment) in place of O. Passi who has been posted as superintendent of police (re-organisation).
Katdoh Rymbui will take over as the new superintendent of police (fire and emergency service) in place of Jubi G. Momin. Momin will take over as assistant inspector-general of police (administration).
Incumbent assistant inspector-general of police (administration), Heimon Toi, has been appointed superintendent of police (anti-infiltration directorate).
The deputy commandant of the 3rd Meghalaya Police Battalion, Maxwell B. Syiem, has been promoted and appointed the new superintendent of police (CID) replacing Anurag Kumar who has gone on deputation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The additional superintendent of police, South West Khasi Hills district, Nangkiew K. Syiem, has been promoted and will be the new superintendent of police (traffic) in East Khasi Hills.
Superintendent of police (special branch-I), Ricky Dkhar, has been transferred and posted as the new superintendent of police of North Garo Hills district in place of N. Rajamarthandan who has been posted as superintendent of police in the CBI.
