School cricket

Guwahati: Delhi Public School will meet Don Bosco School in the final of the 1st Iva Bhattacharyya inter-school (under-13) cricket tournament at Latasil ground here on Friday. DPS booked a final berth defeating Fairyland High School by five wickets on Tuesday while the Bosconians got the better of South Point School by 61 runs on Wednesday.

Rock-climbing

Guwahati: Explorers will organise the 21st annual rock-climbing course here from November 26. The course will continue through the next five Sundays. The participants will be trained on the techniques of rock climbing, rappelling on natural rock surfaces, white water rafting and night survival in the jungles.

U-15 cricket

Guwahati: Assam take on Sikkim in the third match of the Polly Umrigar Trophy (under-15) East Zone three-day match at Nehru Stadium here from Monday. Earlier, Assam defeated Bengal and lost to Jharkhand.

AASU soccer

Guwahati: The Bongaigaon district unit of the All Assam Students’ Union will organise the R.G. Baruah AASU Gold Cup inter-district football meet at Chilarai Stadium in Bongaigaon from November 14 to 17.
