Itanagar, June 12: The usually quiet capital town of Arunachal Pradesh woke up this morning to a gruesome twin murder of two sisters, probably after being raped, inside their beauty parlour, which also served as their residence.
The superintendent of police of Papum Pare district, Hibu Tamanag, said police recovered the bodies of the two sisters, identified as Leki Pema, 20, and Rinchin Pema, 26, from a room at the Natural Beauty Parlour at Akashdweep Market Complex this morning.
“The two sisters were running the beauty parlour for the past two years. They were probably raped before they were murdered around 3 this morning. A police team rushed to the spot at about 10 in the morning. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem,” Tamang said.
