Laptops for pupils

Guwahati, Oct. 3: Assam education and health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed laptops to students who secured above 75 per cent in the HSLC examination from Lakhimpur, Dhemaji and Biswanath districts at a function in Lakhimpur today. Sarma inaugurated a hospital in Gogamukh, a mother and child care hospital in Dhemaji town and an operation theatre at Silapathar Model Hospital.

Cycle rally

Guwahati: The 20th battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force will organise a 27km bicycle expedition from Aalo to Kamba in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.

Keinou win

Imphal: KLASA Keinou registered their sixth win defeating Sagolband United by 2-1 goals in the 12th Manipur State League at Khuman Lampak.

Guwahati: All Assam Primary Teacher Association on Tuesday moved chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal seeking a probe into the suicide of a teacher because of 'work pressure' to organise Gunotsav in the state.

Floods
