Aizawl: The People's Representation for Identity and Status of Mizoram (Prism), a newly-floated party, said it would transform Mizoram into an industrial state if it came to power after the Assembly elections.

The anti-corruption watchdog-turned-political party has been organising street campaigns since August to garner support in the run-up to the Assembly polls which is due at the end of this year.

Addressing a meeting at Prism office here on Monday, its president Vanlalruata said they would make Mizoram an industrial state if Prism came to power after the Assembly polls.

Vanlalruata said apart from improving agriculture and its allied sectors, industry would be set up in all parts of the state.

He added that the condition of roads, supply of electricity and water would be improved under a Prism government.
