The Eastern Air Command of the Indian Air Force on Wednesday launched a motorcycle expedition from Air Force Station, Digaru, Sonapur, to commemorate the IAF’s golden jubilee this year. The expedition is being led by Squadron Leader Vivek Bhatia. He is being accompanied by 10 “air warriors” in the journey to Shillong. The aim of the expedition is to spread awareness about career prospects in the air force. It will also create awareness about the prevention of control of various diseases like HIV/AIDS. The expedition will culminate at Shillong, the headquarters of the command, on March 25. Picture by Eastern Projections
