Meghalaya home minister R.G. Lyngdoh on Wednesday said over 350 tribal families belonging to Pnar community have fled from North Cachar Hills because of threats from Hmar militants and have taken refuge in some villages in Jaintia hills. Pnars are originally residents of Jaintia hills district. eplying to a call attention motion by NCP legislator Ardhendhu Chaudhuri, Lyngdoh said the government had not been able to rehabilitate the refugees who had been accommodated by villagers of Mulamiliang. Assam Central University will introduce two new short-duration courses exclusively for students from overseas next year.
