Dhubri, Nov. 9: Three-year-old Salina Khatoon of Telipara village under Mancachar police station here drowned in the village pond today. Salina’s body was fished out of the pond and brought to Gajarikandi public health centre where she was declared brought dead. Guwahati: NDFB militant Mridul Goyari, an accused in the October 30 Assam blasts, was remanded in 10 days’ CBI custody by the CJM court here on Monday. Dhubri: Sabia Bibi, 46, of Uttar Raipur village under Golokganj police station here, died on the spot while two others were injured when a speeding truck knocked down the rickshaw they were travelling in at Nandini near Joyguru temple on NH 31 on Sunday. Golaghat: Six 108 Mritunjoy ambulances were flagged off in Golaghat town on Monday. Dhubri: A truck fell into a ditch when a wooden bridge on the Kaldoba-Kherbari road collapsed at Bhamondanga here on Sunday. The truck took the route to avoid paying tax at the Chagolia inter-state checkpoint.
