Thrown out of car Electrocuted IED found Robbery

Thrown out of car

Jorhat, Aug. 31: Porismita Das, 21, was injured after she was allegedly thrown out of a moving car near Kamarbandha post office in Golaghat district around noon today. Porismita, who hails from Sinadhoria under Bokakhat police station, has been admitted to Golaghat civil hospital. An inquiry is on to trace the vehicle.

Electrocuted

Jorhat: A truck driver, Sashi Nath, of Amguri in Sivasagar district, was electrocuted and another man was injured when a high tension wire hanging low on the Simaluguri embankment under Bamunpukhuri police outpost came in contact with the truck.

IED found

Dhubri: The 22nd batallion of BSF and its intelligence wing raided the house of Imtiaz Ali Parmanik in Alumari village under Tamarhat police station of Dhubri district and recovered an IED weighing 4kg fitted with timer on Wednesday morning.

Robbery

Dhubri: Two women, Jamuna Das and Sefali Mahanta, were injured when nearly 30 goons attacked Jamuna’s house in ward 2 of Gouripur town and escaped with cash and valuables on Tuesday night.
