Kokrajhar, Jan. 30: A former armyman, Surja Kanta Basumatary, 51, of Silbari died after his bike fell off a bamboo bridge over Puhumara river at Katalmuri ghat in Baksa district today. Basumatary was taken to Pathsala hospital where he died of his injuries. The bamboo bridge connects Baksa and Barpeta districts.
