Elephant dies
• Tezpur: The carcass of an elephant was found at Rabarbari village in Sonitpur district on Monday. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
Man held
• Duliajan: Babul Karmakar was arrested on Monday in connection with the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl from Dirial tea estate in Tinsukia district since April 29. The girl was rescued on Monday.
