The match was evenly fought with both the teams running neck-and-neck. The All Moirang team struck first in the eighth minute of play as Ph. Bompik netted a field goal. However, their celebration was cut short in the very next minute when Khongman player L. Purnachandra pumped in the equaliser.
With both the teams giving of their best, the Khongman Students ran ahead in the 29th minute when H. Heramani converted a penalty corner to lead in the first half by 2-1 goals.

Earlier today, South Eastern Youth Organisation blanked Hockey Association of Young Talent by 2-0 goals in the State-Level (under-14) Girls’ Hockey Tournament at the fist ground of the same venue.
The South Eastern girls displayed grit in their attack as opposed to the meek attitude of the Hockey Association girls, who floundered their run on several occasions.
Leading from the front, South Eastern skipper Th. Suman Devi came up with the first stunner in the 17th minute, firing home a field goal to take the lead in the 25-minute first half.
The Hockey Association team, having a tough time in the game, got another shock as Okram Rojita Devi consolidated the lead for the South Eastern team after she converted a penalty corner in the 27th minute for the victory today.
South Eastern got four penalty corner chances and converted one of them, while Hockey Association failed to get any penalty corner chances.
