SUBROTO CUP

Imphal, June 30: Little Master English Higher Secondary School, Imphal West, thrashed Oklong Government High School, Senapati by 6-1 goals in the 56th under-17 State Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament, 2015, at Khuman Lampak main stadium.

N. Roshan led the charge for Little Master, scoring a hattrick to dominate the proceedings. Making no mistake in the latter part of the game, Little Master consolidated with L. Hemba, Y. Shibeshor and T. Ram Singh chipping in with a goal each.

Afrosh A Higher Secondary School, Imphal East, beat Oriental Academy by 2-1 goals. Th. Tondonba and Yashir scored a goal each for Afrosh while the lone goal for Oriental team was scored by Jasha.

Hermon English School, Churachandpur, registered a solitary goal win over Gandhi Memorial English School, Bishnupur. Genlian Hangshing scored the winning goal for Hermon.

In the under-14 boys' category, Pinjabati High School, Bishnupur drubbed Don Bosco School, Tamenglong by 5-0 goals. M. Ginson came up with a hattrick while K. Anjelo and O. Premchandra fetched a goal each.

In another match, Nilamani English School, Imphal West, blanked Comerstone Christan Academy, Senapti, by 6-1 goals. H. Anand struck two goals while teammates L. Premjit, L. David, Th. Rojen and Reamei Langsigam scored a goal each.

Squash: The Manipur Squash Racket's Association has selected a six-member team, including two officials, for the 63rd National Squash Championship, 2015, to be held in Kerala from July 7-12. The players are Ksh. Chitra Devi, Ksh. Rebecca Devi, E. Bonny and K. Tomba Singh. The officials are S. Mohendro and Th. Samananda as manager and coach.

Athletics: The Athletics Association of Manipur will be holding 34th State-Level Age Group Athletic Championship to be held at Khuman Lampak main stadium from July 27-29. Athlete's registration will be accepted till July 20.

Rower: Assam rower Nafisa Sadiq has been selected to represent India in the 21st Junior Asian Rowing Championship in Wuhan, China, from July 4 to 7.
