Guwahati, Dec. 28: Latasil Cricket Coaching Centre today got the better of River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre by 41 runs in the 14th Guwahati Challenge Trophy cricket tournament under way at Latasil Ground here.
The Latasil side, put to bat first, were all out for 184 in 26.3 overs.
Chasing the target, the River Rine batsmen were bundled out for 143 in 27.4 overs.
Mridul Chakraborty topscored for the Latasil Centre with a quickfire 53 runs, blasting nine hits to the ropes and an over-boundary off 40 balls.
Rishikesh Pathak also chipped in with another strokeful knock of 32 runs, slamming three fours and two sixes off 24 balls.
Gautam Das (14) was the other notable scorer for the side.
Kishore Talukdar, Kuldeep Sarma and Nirmal Das shared two wickets each, conceding 12, 27 and 48 runs respectively.
For the River Rine Centre, Kasim Ali scored 34 (3x4) and Nitul Ali remained unbeaten on 21 (2x4) runs. Laxman Das (20, 3x4) and Raju Kalita (13, 2x6) were the other notable scorers for the side.
Himangshu Das and Anup Das of Latasil shared three wickets each for 22 and 33 runs respectively. Mridul Chakraborty claimed two for 32.
Ankurjyoti Club will clash with Kharom Dao Cricket Club in another league match tomorrow.
