Lamdeng in semis

ROYAL CHALLENGE CUP

Imphal, June 9: SDS Lamdeng Khunou thrashed Ken Bag, Thangmeiband, 3-0 to sail into the semi-final of the second Royal Challenge Cup Football Tournament, 2016, played at Achanbingei in Imphal East today.

Both teams struggled to find the opening goal for some time till SDS Lamdeng found one through Bikram Singh in the 37th minute for the lead.

In the second half, SDS Lamdeng increased their tally with Narendra Singh finding the back of the net in the 77th minute.

Shyamson Singh drove home the last nail for his opponent in the 82nd minute for the victory.

Danny Singh of Ken Bag Thangmeiband got a yellow card in the match.

Four Men's Soccer: COF Langthabal Kunja beat LLK Karam 2-1 in the first State-Level Four Men's Soccer Tournament, 2016, played at Narankonjil in Imphal West.

Robin Singh put Langthabal ahead when he netted home in the 20th minute for the lead.

However, LLK Karam fought back, with Premchand Singh drawing parity in the 25th minute. Langthaba striker L. Kiran Singh scored the all-important goal in the 26th minute.
