Guwahati, July 6: Kangaroo, Crocodile, Rhino and Cobra made it to the semi-finals of the sixth City Premier League cricket tournament, organised by City Cricket Coaching Centre at Janata Bhawan ground here.

In the 12-overs-a-side quarter-finals played today, Kangaroo outplayed Tiger by 58 runs, while Crocodile mauled Bull by eight wickets, Rhino humbled Shark by 23 runs and Cobra clinched a two-run victory against Lion.

In the first quarter-final, Kangaroo opted to bat and rode a quickfire 70 by Man of the Match Aryaman Tewari to post 132 for five in their 12 overs.

The Tiger batsmen were restricted to 70 for four in 12 overs with Kaushik Kalita and Binod Sarma scoring 26 each.

In the second quarters, Bull batted first and scored 78 for five in the 12 overs. Crocodile reached 82 for two in 10 overs.

In another quarter-final encounter, Rhino batted first and scored 65 for two in 12 overs and the Shark batsmen were restricted to 43 for nine.

Cobra batted first in the last quarter-final and scored 59 for seven. In reply, Lion were all out for 57 in 10.1 overs.
