Guwahati, Jan. 30: Janasadharan today sealed a semi-final berth in the 1st GTC Media Cup cricket tournament, under way at the Judges Field here, defeating NE TV by 45 runs to emerge the unbeaten Group A champions where they had earlier defeated Seven Sisters Post.

In today’s match, put to bat first, Janasadharan posted 160 for three in the stipulated 20 overs, thanks to an unbeaten knocks of 53 by Kishore Kumar Chouhdury and 46 by Dinesh Das. Another 32 came from the bat of Nitul Ali.

Pranab Das, Mahendra Hour and of NE TV picked up a wicket apiece.

For NE TV, Bipul Barman scored 33 and Abhijit Goswami contributed 31. Nitul Ali of Janasadharan scalped three wickets for 23 runs.

Asomiya Pratidin will play Prag Channel in tomorrow’s Group B last league match.
