Imphal, Nov. 23: Imphal West District Football Association thrashed Imphal East District Football Assoiciation by 4-1 goals in the 26th Junior Boys Inte-district Football Tournament played at Khuman Lampak artificial turf today.
The match was one-sided as Imphal West rattled the ranks of their eastern counterpart.
Imphal West took the lead with Sh. Netrajit finding the opening goal in the 35th minute, followed by Imphal East fetching the equaliser through Md Azo during injury time of the first half.
Imphal West ruled the turf as the match progressed with Sh. Netrajit netting another goal in the 59th minute and later Th. Kishan and Kh. Johen came up with a goal each in the added time.
Imphal East players W. Olen and Md Azo got a yellow card each.
In another match, DSA Bishnupur defeated DFA Thoubal by 3-1 goals.
Y. Harishankar scored two goals while W. Maheschand chipped in with a goal. H. James scored the lone goal for Thoubal.
