Guwahati momo fest ends

Guwahati: Huge crowds gathered at the Lakhidhar Borah field opposite Dighalipukhuri here on the concluding day of the silver jubilee celebrations of popular momo outlet Momo Ghar on Sunday.

The festival drew a great response on its final day, which also witnessed hosting of a momo-eating competition.

Hundreds of participants took part in the competition.

"It feels great to be here and it feels even better to be adjudged the winner of the contest," said Tony Das, the winner.

Das was awarded coupons for 15 plates of momos.

City-based bands Yuva, Swadhyay and Celestial Way enthralled the audience with their performances.

The crowds were seen getting into the mood and tapping their feet while relishing plates of momos with their friends and family members.
