Guwahati, June 7: The life and archaeological discoveries of Hungarian Orientalist Sir Marc Aurel Stein are being showcased an exhibition at the Assam State Museum here.

The exhibition has been organised by the state directorate of museum in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, New Delhi.

The exhibition, which began today, will continue till June 22.

It was inaugurated by Preetam Saikia, commissioner and secretary of the state cultural affairs department.

"This exhibition has been organised to highlight the life and works Stein. It will give people an idea of his contributions. Stein had done a lot of study on Oriental culture,"? said A. Das, an official of the Assam State Museum.
