Guwahati, July 14: The Guwahati unit of the Don Bosco Alumni will host the 5th All-Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship and the 2nd All-Assam Ranking Badminton Championship in collaboration with Assam Table Tennis Association and Assam Badminton Association respectively on the Don Bosco School premises here from Tuesday. While the table tennis event will be held at the Nihal Singh Thakur table tennis hall from Tuesday to Thursday, the badminton tournament will be held from July 28 to 31 at the school’s indoor stadium. Table tennis will be held for under-12, 15, 18 and 21 boys and girls, men’s, women’s and veterans while the badminton event will be held for under-10, 13, 15, 17 and 19 years boys and girls, men’s and women’s categories. Volleyball: Assam MLA and Assam Volleyball Association president Bhupen Kumar Borah was elected one of the six vice presidents of the Volleyball Federation of India in the annual general meeting at Chennai on Sunday.
