Sec. 144 in Jorhat Ferry stuck ONGC awards Voters’ list Donation

Sec. 144 in Jorhat

Jorhat, Sept. 20: The Jorhat district administration has prohibited the assembly of five or more persons in public places, burning of effigies, taking out of processions, collecting donations and giving weapon training under Section 144 of the CrPC until further orders. A border curfew from 8pm to 5am along the Assam-Nagaland border has also been imposed.

Ferry stuck

Jorhat: A ferry going to Neemati Ghat from Kamalabari ghat in Majuli was stranded after plying for half an hour. Another boat was pressed into service to off-load passengers.

ONGC awards

Jorhat: The ONGC’s Assam Asset in Sivasagar district bagged nine Greentech Safety Awards at the Greentech Occupational Health Safety and Fire Conference in Goa.

Voters’ list

Jorhat: The draft voter list for Mariani and Titabar Assembly seats will be published on October 1.

Donation

Jorhat: Altogether 37 units of blood were collected at a blood donation camp in Sivasagar College in Joysagar.
