Guwahati, April 20: Anurag Buragohain and Devangana Barkakati annexed double crowns in the eighth Kaliyani Open All-Assam Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament that concluded at Numaligarh Refinery Ltd Kaliyani Club in Numaligarh in Golaghat district last night.

Both Anurag and Devangana, who won the under-14 boys' and girls' singles titles respectively yesterday, lifted the under-18 titles too.

Anurag defeated Manash P. Kuli 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the boys' final, while Devangana won the title beating Nazia Ahmed 7-5, 6-1 in the under-18 age group. In men's open doubles, Tutu Thapa and Sudhanta Mohanty beat Manash P. Kuli and Bedabrat Mohan 6-0, 6-0 for the title.

Volleyball: The UWPWC, Uchiwa, will organise the second Inter-Village Open Volleyball Tournament under the aegis of AMVA from April 23 to 29 at Uchiwa Wangma ground.
