Dhemaji, March 5: The Arunachal Pradesh state BJP today condemned "the desperate and malicious intention of vested interests to malign the image of the party" by circulating a letter purportedly written by state party president Tapir Gao.

"We have lodged a complaint with Itanagar police," BJP general secretary Jarpum Gamlin said. He said Gao was out of station since March 2 and has not written the letter as Gao never uses the normally used letter head, which is used in the circulated letter, to write to national leaders.
