Coach for Lajong FC

Shillong, June 1: The Shillong Lajong Football Club today signed Stanley Rozario, a former coach of Salgaoncar and East Bengal, to train the players for the I-League.

The general secretary of the Shillong Lajong Football Club, M. Larsing, said the club had engaged Rozario as he was a “known” football coach.

Rosario, who had sarted as the army coach, told mediapersons that the entry of Lajong had proved that the Northeast had real potential. “I had seen the club’s performance when they played in Gurgaon and Silchar and they have so much potential,” he said.

Last month, the club signed an agreement with Nigerian player Daniel Bidemi of Chirag United, the third I-League team from Calcutta, and Marlanki Suting of Mohun Bagan, Romen Sukhlien of New Delhi Heroes Football Club and Marcus Basumatari of Salgaoncar.
