Kokrajhar, Oct. 9: City Police, Guwahati, moved to the pre-quarterfinals defeating Dotma DASA XI by 2-1 goals in today’s match of the 17th Daoharu Mungkhlong Football Trophy being played at Dotma in Kokrajhar.
After a barren first half, the policemen were the first to get off the blocks with a strike in the 50th minute by Amulya Das.
But the cops could sustain their lead only for two minutes as Dotma launched a counter- attack with Jwngsar Brahma hitting home to draw parity.
The decisive moment of the match came in the 67th minute, as K.M. Amujao executed one to perfection to gift his team the winning goal.
