Guwahati, March 13: Star Prag lifted The Telegraph 9th Pibco Hero Honda six-a-side Corporate Cricket Carnival title defeating VIOM Network of Meerut by four wickets in the final at Judges Field here yesterday.

Star Prag elected to field first on a slow track and bowled out the visitors for 52 in five overs with Naba Kalita and Juintu Das claiming a wicket each. Kapil Arora (14) was the only notable scorer. The VIOM bowling was taken apart by the Star Prag batsmen to score 54 runs in just 3.5 overs with Naba Kalita hitting a quickfire 23 to be named Man of the Match.

Mriganka Sarma of Star Prag was adjudged Man of the Tournament and Ghulam Kibriya of SEPPA Inc was adjudged the viewer’s choice Man of the Tournament.

Deepanjan Mukherjee of VIOM was the Best Batsman. Ranjul Barua of HDFC Life and Samarjit Neog of Reliance Industries were named the Best Bowler and Fielder. I.H. Hazarika of Pibco Enterprises, Pankaj Kanodia of Pankaj Aviates and Sanjay Bhajanka of Star Cement attended the prize distribution ceremony.
