Guwahati, March 11: City Cricket Coaching Centre and Ankurjyoti Club will clash tomorrow in the final of the Raishmodi Nunisa 1st North East Twenty20 cricket championship under way at the Latasil ground here.
In the two semifinals played today, the coaching centre team outplayed Bud Cricket Club by six wickets while Ankurjyoti Club posted a marginal 16-run win against Akash Hyundai.
Put to bat first, Bud scored a respectable total of 137 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs, chasing which the coaching club scored 141 for four in 19.4 overs.
Shiv Shankar Roy 59 not out in 39 deliveries was the topscorer for CCCC.
Mukut Kalita, who hit six sixes and a four to score 52, was the topscorer for Bud.Manjit Sarma of coaching club notched up four wickets, conceding 23 runs.
In the other match, Ankurjyoti were put to bat first and posted 161 for seven in 20 overs. In reply, Akash Hyundai were restricted to 145 for eight.
Abhijit Singha Roy was the topscorer for Ankurjyoti having scored 42 (5x4, 2x6), while Pritam Debnath and Raju Das chipped in with 27 runs each. Debnath slammed three fours and two sixes while Das hammered four fours and a sixer.
Pradeep Mahanta of Akash Hyundai scalped three for 29 and Rupak Roy captured two for 21. Dimbeswar Boro (59, 3x4, 6x6) was the topscorer for Akash Hyundai while 16 runs came from Pradeep Mahanta. Rakesh Pandey contributed 15.
