Jorhat: Abhijit Dey, 16, was killed when his motorcycle hit a dumper at Namdang in Tinsukia district on Monday.

Jorhat: A Nissan car, belonging to Ankush Jain, accidentally caught fire at Garali when local people were burning garbage nearby. The car was partially damaged.

Tonsured

Jorhat: Youths of different students' organisations tonsured their heads at Titabar town in the district on Monday while protesting against chief minister Tarun Gogoi for "not providing basic amenities" in many villages under the Titabar constituency.
