Imphal, June 28: Th. Bikramjit Singh, representing Imphal East, moved into the final of the third sub-junior men’s event of the State-Level Boxing Championship at Khuman Lampak sports complex today.

In the sub-junior D-36kg category, Bikramjit overcame M. Simoncharjit of Bishnupur to move into the final.

Other boxers who also made it to the final include Kh. Thonao of MRBF who beat H. Kipgen of Churachandpur, M. Daniel Meitei of National Sports Academy Imphal beat Thangcha Kipgen of Churachandpur and Md Najimuddin of Thoubal beat H. Rahul of MRBF.

The other semi-finals saw Sh. Rebaldo of Imphal West beat Th. Nongdamba Meitei of Thoubal, M. Dayananda Meitei of Imphal West beat L. Nonglemba of Churachandpur, M. Bobosana of Imphal East beat H. Kirankumar of MRBF, Myson Moirangthem of Bishnupur beat Ak. Naoton Meitei of Thoubal, H. Rabichandra of Imphal West beat Th. Surchandra of MRBF, Th. Poireihanba of Imphal East beat A. Gyansehwor of Bishnupur, making it to the final in different weight categories.

Imphal West boxer Th. Bonus Meitei overcame S. Thangkhanlian of Churchandpur en route to the final. N. Malemnganba of Thoubal beat L. Marjit Sharma of National Sports Academy Imphal. B. Ushakanta of Bishnupur, Md Itash Khan of Imphal West, S. Khoimu of Thoubal, H. Boicha of Imphal East, M. Tajuddin of Thoubal and K. Poton of Imphal East also moved to the finals.
