Bhutan vehicle torched

A mob set on fire a vehicle bearing a Bhutan number plate after it hit and seriously injured eight-year-old Sahil Rehman, a student of Dhaligaon Hindi School, near Bongaigaon Refinery in Assam's Chirang district this morning.

Kokrajhar, Dec. 5: A mob set on fire a vehicle bearing a Bhutan number plate after it hit and seriously injured eight-year-old Sahil Rehman, a student of Dhaligaon Hindi School, near Bongaigaon Refinery in Assam's Chirang district this morning.

Sources said the boy was on his way to school around 8.30am when the speeding vehicle hit him. He was admitted to a hospital in Bongaigaon.

The mob assaulted three persons in the vehicle before handing them over to police.

The public complained that in the past month, over 10 accidents have happened in the same area.
