CK Nayudu Trophy
Dibrugarh, Oct. 27: Assam bagged three points on the basis of their first innings lead in the under-23 C.K. Nayudu Trophy cricket match against Chhattisgarh that ended in a draw at the Tinsukia District Sports Association ground in Tinsukia district today.
Chhattisgarh earned a point. Assam had taken a slender lead of 48 runs in the first innings after posting 398 in 129.1 overs.
Rahul Hazarika slammed 222 off 354 balls and remained unbeaten. Shuhel Rahman scored 58 off 145 balls with five boundaries and two sixes. For Chattishgarh, Shubham A. Singh and Shakeeb J. Ahmed took three wickets each.
In reply, Chattishgarh scored 350 in 132.5 overs.
For Assam, Mantu Das scalped three wickets for 75 in 26 overs. Jogeswar Bhumiz and Avoy Kumar Yadav took two wickets each. In the second innings, Assam were 86 for three in 35 overs.
