Fashion designer Dipankar Kashyap will showcase his collection of summer and casual wear with models from New Delhi at the same event. A children’s fashion show will be held, too.
One of the highlights of the main event is expected to be the competition round in which the participants will have to impress the judges in traditional attire like the jainsem, worn by Khasi and Jaintia women. Shillong-based Sabita Agarwal has designed the dresses. Laitphlang said the Mrs Shillong contest would be “wholesome family entertainment”.
