Guwahati: Celebridge, an advertisement web portal to provide artistes a platform to connect with advertisers, was launched here on Wednesday.

Artistes, who have sufficient fan following and are registered in the portal, will get sponsorship from advertisers and a chance in advertisement campaigns.

Celebridge is the brainchild of Padmashree Shobhna Chandrakumar and technocrats Rahul Nehra and Raja Muthu.

The ad-web portal, developed in Coimbatore, claims to be one of a kind and likely to turn the fame of celebrities into a fortune and also give every brand an easy access to these celebrities to endorse their products and services both regionally and nationally.

"We see this as a new dawn in social media advertising and product endorsements, which is centric to the new age social stars. It is unique in its ability to give an instantaneous connect in a multi-touch environment to brands both large and small. We believe this is the ultimate game changer in this digital era," developer Raja Muthu said.

"I am proud to be a part of the new age channel and wish Celebridge the best," actor Deblina Deka said.

"It is a moment of reckoning for us where our fame will turn into our fortune," said actor Ravi Sarma.

"Celebridge gives the brand an unparalleled value proposition," South Asian Brand Guru Rabindra Shrestha said.

"We are confident that Celebridge would bring a new dimension to celebrities and brands and finally benefit consumers and are overwhelmed by the response to Celebridge in Assam," the Assam partner of the portal, M. Maniram, said.

Actors Kalpana Kalita, Bibhuti Bhuxan Hazarika and choreographer Uday Shankar are also registered with the portal.
