Imphal: Posterior Hockey Academy of Manipur blanked Eastern Sporting Union 7-0 on Wednesday in the ongoing state-level women’s hockey championship, organised by Manipur Women’s Hockey Association at the Khuman Lampak stadium.

Polo meet
Imphal: Meiraba Polo Club defeated Chingkheihunba Polo Club ‘B’ 4-3 in the opening match of the XVIII N. Hazari polo tournament at the Imphal polo ground. The tournament is being organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association.

LIC up
Guwahati: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) have set up a semi-final clash on Thursday in the 16th Girish Chandra Goswami inter-bank cricket tournament. LIC defeated Canara Bank by six wickets, while RBI beat UCO Bank by 70 runs in two league matches. In the other semis, Postal Sports Board will take on UCO Bank.

Guwahati: Assam's Monika Basumatary won a gold in the broad sword event, while Abinash Rabha and Mrinal Boro bagged a silver and a bronze respectively in sanshou (free fighting) at the recently-concluded national sub-junior and junior wushu championship in Hyderabad. Pompy Bharati also won a silver in the broad sword event.
