A house of delicious and pocket-friendly food, that?s Cherrywood Restaurant in a nutshell.Though located in one of the posh areas of the city, the food here is highly affordable. Launched only a few days ago, Cherrywood serves dishes from across the globe and makes eating out a delightful experience.

Cherrywood specialises in Indian, basically Mughlai, dishes but Continental favourites are also served. The Mughlai platter includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations. Chinese and Continental concoctions, too, find their space on the menu at this new food joint.

Six cooks and an equal number of stewards are there to rustle up your order in a jiffy at the 12-hour eatery which opens at 10 am. The restaurant can sit 60 people at a time.
first impression
The glass fa?ade and the classy white d?cor lend an aura of plush elegance to the restaurant and makes dining here a formal affair. One wall of the eatery is made up entirely of glass. The rich wood furniture and panelling and the use of glass provide the perfect setting for corporate dos. The polished and shining floor enhance the classy effect.

The menu includes such lip-smacking Mughlai hits such as chicken Hyderabadi biryani, chicken rezala, chicken kassa, mutton bharta, mutton chop and mutton bhuna.
Vegetarian dishes like paneer tikka kabab and paneer seekh kabab are best had with tandoori butter nun and rumali roti. The Cherrywood breadbasket includes tandoori lachcha paratha, tandoori masala kulcha and tandoori kashmiri naan.
In these chilly winter days the ideal way to begin a meal is with piping hot soups of which the joint offers quite a variety such as sweet corn soup, hot and sour soup and clear soup.
Chinese dishes comes in the usual variations of noodles and rice preparations.
For die hard vegetarians there are dal chitraal, dal tarka, dal tarka with butter, vegetable zal frezi and vegetable navrattan korma. Panner favourites such as paneer shahi korma, malai kofta, kadai paneer and paneer do-piaza provide a mouth-watering alternative to the non-vegetarian fare.
Salads of fresh seasonal vegetables will meet the approval of even the most the calorie conscious. Fruit salad and mixed raita are also part of the menu.

Every non-vegetarian visitor must try the chicken butter masala and Cheerywood chicken butter masala. The capsicum fried rice, shrimp fried rice and mixed hakka chow at the eatery are also highly recommended.

Cherrywood will soon introduce Assamese dishes and other cuisine from the rest of the world. ?We will conduct a survey and will ask the diners to pin-point their likes and dislikes,? said the manager of the eatery.

The eatery being centrally located has little space for parking vehicles. A touch of greenery will definitely enhance the beauty of the entire place.
