Guwahati, Oct. 19: Altogether 25 science projects have been selected for the National Children’s Science Congress from December 27 to 31 at Jaipur in Rajasthan.
This time, 246 children from 27 districts of Assam attended the state-level Children’s Science Congress at Narayanpur in Lakhimpur from October 13 to 16.
There were 141 projects in the 10-14 years age group and 105 in the 14-17 years’ group. Two of the 25 projects have been adjudged best state-level projects.
Besides the national-level congress, these two projects will be showcased at the Indian Science Congress at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar from January 3 to 7 in 2012.
The best two state projects are termite soil-its quality and effect on growth of rice from Tinsukia district and study of bank erosion of the Namdang river and designing its preservative measures from Sivasagar district.
