South African and Australian players were seen at the nets at Eden Gardens on Monday ahead of the first semi-final scheduled on November 16

Both the teams had crossed swords in the ICC World Cup 1999 where Australia defeated SA to reach the final and eventually lifted the trophy

With two defeats, one each against India and Netherlands, Team South Africa has had a fairly good stint in this edition of the ICC World Cup. SA fans are looking forward to a high-octane match. SA is currently second on the points table

The Aussies are placed at the 3rd spot on the points table with seven wins and two losses

Weather may play spoilsport during the South Africa-Australia match in Kolkata on Thursday. If rain puts a brake, the match will be resumed on Friday
