Jamshedpur, Dec. 16: The steel city is all set to witness a mud coin used by Aryans ages before the barter system came into existence.

This and many more such rare pieces of coins, currency notes and some timeless gallantry medals will be on display during an exhibition, which will begin from December 18 at Tulsi Bhavan at Bistupur.

Chrstened ?Jamcoin-2005? and organised by the city-based Coin Collectors? Club in association with Tata Steel, this is the eleventh consecutive year that this national-level exhibition is being organised here.

About 50 coin collectors are expected to attend the three-day exhibition to display their rare collection of coins amid a array of collection of notes and medals displayed by women and schoolchildren as well.

About half-a-dozen collectors from different cities are visiting Jamshedpur during the exhibition. ?We have received confirmation of people from Mumbai and Ahmedabad, too. While some of them are dealers in coins, some others still possess rare coins and currency notes of all time,? said Kalyan Guha, founder general secretary of the club.

Moreover, some rare war medals like the medals given to soldiers during the two World Wars and the rare police medals will also be on display at the exhibition.

A special segment is there for school students to display their collection. ?We have invited school students and display their collection at the exhibition,? said Lt Col H.C. Pant, president of the club.

There are some awards for the collectors, too, Guha said.
