Lugu Buru Ghantabari Dhoromgarh, one of the most revered religious centres of Santhals, and the picturesque Tenughat dam — both at Maoist-hit Gomia block in Bokaro — may soon become visitors’ paradise.
And if state tourism secretary Sajal Chakraborty’s plans materialise, places of social and religious interest in Bokaro will be part of Jharkhand’s tourist circuit too.
Chakraborty, who visited the district on Monday evening, said Mrig Khoh, Durga Pahadi and Singhpur in Kasmar block had been shortlisted, along with Lugu Buru and Tenughat dam, under a special project.
“These beautiful spots can be turned into attractive destinations,” he said.
