Jamshedpur, Oct. 29: Two blasts, in a span of 30 minutes, rocked Ghatshila subdivision of East Singhbhum today. However, the source of the blasts could not be traced.
No loss of lives or property was reported. The first blast took place at Jhatijharna panchayat at about 12.30 pm, the second blast occurred at Gurumahasani bordering Orissa around 1.00 pm.
The first blast was heard even in the Ghatshila town, 15 km from Jhatijharna. After the second blast, a police team from Dumuria police station rushed to Gurumahasani.
“We searched more than seven hamlets for over four hours for clues about the blast,” police said. “But the villagers said they hadn’t seen anything.”
Jhatijharna is frequented by Maosit Communist Centre extremists and Gurumahasani village by People’s War rebels.
