Jamshedpur, July 9: A five-member team of industrialists from Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (Aiada) today visited the industrial estate in Bokaro to gain first hand knowledge about the development activities.
Bokaro Industrial Area Development Authority (Biada) had recently spent over Rs 8 crore to develop roads and drains in the industrial area.
Even the Biada Bhavan at Bokaro has been given a facelift.
There are four zones under the jurisdiction of Biada including Sindri, Kandra, Giridih and Bokaro.
The entire industrial area of Biada is spread over 1470 acres of land. There are nearly 490 medium and small units under Biada and many of which are the ancillaries of Bokaro Steel Plant.
The Biada sources said, “The managing director of Aiada, Vandana Dadel, was present during the inauguration of the renovated Biada bhawan. She was impressed with the work. She had also requested us to provide suggestions on how we went about the development work. She wanted to implement a similar development project in Adityapur. Hence she had sent a five-member team to Bokaro this morning.”
The team from Aiada included Awadesh Kumar (development officer), S.N. Singh (assistant engineer), Dilip Kumar Sinha (industries extension officer), C Ramaswamy (Aiada consultant) and Rajiv Kumar (computer expert).
According to the development officer of Biada, R.K. Singh, the Aiada team went round the entire industrial area to take a look at the work.
Biada officials said the team was also apprised on how computerisation has taken place in Biada Bhawan.
“Biada has been connected to the industries department at Ranchi by computers. We informed them how the entire computerisation work was undertaken,” sources said.
Biada sources said more than Rs 68 lakhs have been spent in giving a facelift to the Biada Bhawan. Each officials of Biada has been allotted a computer to work fast.
It was learnt that the Aiada team would summit a report to Dadel after its return from Bokaro. “What we have gathered during our meeting with Aiada officials is that they are also eager to undertake similar development work as we have done in Bokaro. We have provided them with all the suggestions and have also asked them to get in touch with us in case of any further help,” Biada officials said.
Aiada Bhawan, it may be recalled, was also given a facelift some time back by the authorities.
