Skygazers in Jharkhand were in for a triple treat, when they spied a total lunar eclipse during a blue moon and a supermoon, earning the epithet “super blue blood moon.”
The lunar eclipse in Ranchi began at 5.18pm and ended at 8.42pm. Across Jharkhand’s cities Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad, people were found capturing moments on their phones, which soon made way to social media.
Despite the directive from the CM’s office to switch off streetlights, Jusco in Jamshedpur failed to do so from 8pm to 9pm due to a technical snag, Jusco spokesperson Rajesh Rajan said.
