All three infected are from the same family of lawyers.

An advocate from Dipuvan Mohalla of Garhwa was exposed to an infected client, causing his advocate father (74) and 16-year-old son, to also become infected.

They have been admitted to the RIMS, in Ranchi.

Health officials have traced more than two dozen people who came into close contact with the trio and have collected samples from them too, said civil surgeon NK Rajak.

On the other hand, the Bar Association building was closed on Monday, although there is no statement from them yet. However, speculations are that the building will be reopened only after the premises are sanitised.

The news of the lawyers’ infection has weighed on Garhwa, as many high profile people had met with the advocate at his residence, and he is said to have attended court as well. Many others such as leaders of the JMM district committee, officers, doctors, businessmen and journalists had also come in contact with them.
