The film, also starring Pankaj Kapur, revolves around the disappearance of Ishan Bharti, a student activist, in Kolkata. Yami, who plays the role of a crime reporter Vidhi Sahni in the movie, pursues the story at the risk of losing her job and life.

Vidhi stumbles upon a possible political angle to the disappearance of Ishan. During her investigation, Vidhi is coerced by the police to drop the story. Even Ishan’s family complain about harassment by the authorities in the name of interrogation. Police say Ishan ran away to join an extremist group but Vidhi is not convinced. She is determined to unearth the truth behind Ishan’s disappearance.

Lost, which also stars Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee and Tushar Pandey in key roles, was also screened at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. It is currently trending at No. 1 on ZEE5.
