Stars of the upcoming musical fantasy Wicked — Michelle Yeoh, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo — reunited at this year’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas following the shoot wrap up of the Jon M. Chu-directed film in January, show pictures shared by the actresses on Thursday.

“Magical to be reunited at CinemaCon in Vegas with my Wicked Family,” Yeoh wrote alongside pictures with Grande and Erivo on Instagram.

The first picture is a selfie featuring the three actresses. While the Everything Everywhere All At Once actress sports a turquoise pantsuit, the 7 Rings singer flaunts her half eyelashes and dewy makeup. Erivo, who plays Elphaba Thropp in the movie, wore a chainmail miniskirt paired with an emerald top featuring off-shoulder straps and matching boots reminiscent of her avatar in Wicked.

Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey and Etan Slater, who play The Wizard of Oz, Fiyero and Boq, respectively, in the film, struck a pose with the leading ladies in the second picture. Yeoh also shared a photo from the makeup room featuring the entire cast in a mirror selfie.

Ariana’s pictures on Instagram give a detailed look at her outfit for the event. Inspired by her Wicked character Glinda Upland, the Side to Side singer looked stunning in an organza mini dress featuring petal pleating, giving the look of a blooming flower. A tight bun, coral lip shade and silver drop earrings completed her look.

An exclusive look at Wicked was shown at the event. “When I was 10 years old, I saw Wicked on Broadway for the first time,” Ariana said. “It was only five years ago,” she quipped about her age, prompting viewers to break into laughter.

Apart from sharing selfies and group photos, Ariana also shared a still from the 1939 classic film The Wizard of Oz, featuring Jack Haley’s The Tin Man and Ray Bolger’s Scarecrow. Wicked is a reimagining of the classic novel The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

Erivo, known for her films like Harriet and The Outsider, took to Instagram to share monochrome pictures of Goldblum, Bailey, and her holding hands with Ariana on stage. A video shared by her shows the lighting of the audience’s seating area turning from red to green before the screening of the exclusive look.

Wicked is the first chapter of a two-part film series. While the first part will premiere on Thanksgiving Day on November 28, the second part is slated to hit theatres on November 26, 2025.
