Last week we tried to track down Rani Mukerji. This week we are desperately seeking Shiney. Yes, Shiney Ahuja, the fixer of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, the gangster of Gangster, the lover of Life in a... Metro.

Well, ever since Shiney’s last release Hijack flopped, the actor has been really low. It has not helped that his other release, the one he was really banking on, Jahnu Barua’s Har Pal opposite Preity Zinta, has not found a buyer. It also hasn’t helped that Shiney’s big brother in the industry, Anurag Basu, is making a film with the Roshans and couldn’t possibly cast him in Kites.

So where has all that left Shiney? Well, for starters, he is shooting for a film with Soha Ali Khan. It is called Accident and is produced by Pritish Nandy. The buzz is Shiney is so desperate to make a comeback that he has charged almost nothing for the film.

But now we hear luck has favoured the brave. Shiney has supposedly bagged a Hollywood project called Silver Cord alongside Val Kilmer! In fact, Shiney will be playing an American character in the romantic sci-fi thriller. His performances in Gangster and Life in a... Metro are said to have impressed the makers who thought Shiney has “international good looks and a powerful screen presence”. Now we are talking, Shiney!
