12th Fail actor Vikrant Massey has thanked fans for showering love on the Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial via an Instagram reel, urging his followers on the social media platform to not miss the opportunity to watch the film in a theatre.

“If you haven’t yet…Please go and watch #12thfail at the Cinema near you 🙏🏽❤️It’s been more than 75 magical days of this beautiful film running in Cinemas,” the 36-year-old actor wrote alongside the video. “And as you now know, this really is your story. Our story. Don’t miss this chance. Book your tickets now 🎫 🎥❤️✨,” the caption further read.

“It’s almost 80 days since 12th Fail has been released in theatres. Our entire team will be forever grateful for the love and support shown towards our film and welcoming it with open arms,” Vikrant said in the video.

“But if you haven’t watched the film yet, if your children haven’t watched it yet and if you have a little bit of time, then I’ll request you to watch it with your kids in the nearest cinema hall and spread its message,” he added.

“It is your story, it is our story and here is a chance to watch our own story on the big screen,” the actor concluded.

12th Fail, chronicling the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma who overcame poverty and cracked UPSC, was released in theatres on October 27 last year.

After its OTT release on December 29, the film acquired the topmost position on IMDb’s list of highest-rated Indian movies of all time, surpassing even Hollywood hits such as Oppenheimer and Barbie.

Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 12th Fail is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
