Gargi
Gautham Ramachandran’s upcoming film Gargi has Sai Pallavi in the titular role. Going by the trailer, the film promises to be an intense courtroom drama filled with suspense.
Sharing the trailer, Sai Pallavi wrote, “#Gargi…She’ll need your love and blessing. I’m extremely elated to share the trailer with you all!”
The trailer depicts how the life of a school teacher named Gargi turns upside down when her father is arrested by the police. She tries to speak to her father, but the investigating officer says that he was only detained after the police saw his movements. Additionally, the police advise her to leave the area before she attracts the attention of the media and the general public. The rest of the trailer tracks how Gargi fights the case when it is heard in court. Gargi is set to release in the theatres in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada on July 15.

Akdi Pakdi | Liger
Sony Music India dropped the video teaser of Akdi Pakdi, a song from Puri Jagannadh’s highly anticipated sports action film Liger starring Vijat Deverakonda and Ananya Panday.
Dharma Productions’ head Karan Johar shared the short promo on Twitter and said, “Get ready to VIBE it out with #AKDIPAKDI Song Releasing on 11th July @4 :00 PM.”
In the short video, Deverakonda and Ananya are seen dancing on the main chorus of the Akdi Pakdi song, doing the hook step that is fast catching on. Liger is produced by Dharma Productions and it marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu superstar Deverakonda. The film will release in theatres on August 25.

Luck
Apple TV+ has released the trailer of their upcoming original animated film Luck. Hollywood actors like Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Whoopi Goldberg and Jane Fonda have voiced the main characters of this film. Directed by Peggy Holmes, Luck is produced by Toy Story director and former Pixar head John Lasseter. In the trailer, Sam Greenfield, who has a history of bad luck, has her life completely turned around when she discovers a lucky coin and a talking cat named Bob. She discovers herself in the enchanted Land of Luck, where she also encounters a dragon that speaks in Jane Fonda’s voice. Luck will release on Apple TV+ on August 5.

Disney+ Hotstar released the trailer and key art for Lucasfilm and Imagine Documentaries’ upcoming six-part documentary titled Light & Magic. The series is directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Lawrence Kasdan, and the executive producers are Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Justin Wilkes, Lawrence Kasdan, Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rejwan. Granted unparalleled access, the documentary takes viewers behind the curtains of industrial light that creates cinematic magic. All six episodes of Light & Magic premiere on July 27 on Disney+ Hotstar.
